Storm Witch’s Transformation Spell

Purpose: Call upon the elements of the Storm to recharge and transform a weakened spirit into a strong one.

Materials:

Storm Water

Clay

Leather strip

A carving tool

Water/Oil (infusion base)

Colored candles to represent the Storm (I typically use White, Black, Gold, and Purple/Blue)

Herbs: Agrimony (Overcoming fear), Hyssop (purification), Black & Cayenne Pepper (banishing negativity), Elder flower (calms anxiety)

White Jade (Grounding, decision making)

Instructions:

Perform any pre-spell rituals as you would normally. Light the candles in your crafting space, and visualize them inviting the Elements of Storm into your area. Using your carving tool, shape your clay into an amulet, leaving a small opening at the top to thread. In the clay, carve a rune or sigil that represents transformation of the mind/spirit. You may either press the white jade into the amulet itself, or do as I did and use white jade beads surrounding the amulet. Once the amulet is finished, allow it to dry. String it onto your leather strip at the length you prefer (Mine is a 20″ necklace).

Create an herbal infusion with your herbs and base. Add your storm water to the infusion, and stir it thoroughly. Visualize the storm brewing in your infusion. Bathe your amulet in the infusion, and allow it to soak up the magickal properties. As the amulet is soaking, chant the following:

Wind, Blow! Lightning, Flash!
Take from me, the old and crass!
Rain, Heal! Thunder, Boom!
Bid my spirit wake anew!

Blow/Snuff out the candles immediately (as if the space has been struck by lightning). Remove the piece from the infusion and allow it to air-dry. Wear on the body as desired.

Desired effects:

Wearing this piece should help keep the wearer calm and rational under pressure and allow him/her/them to make good decisions. It may also have an effect on those who set eyes upon it should your repeat the chant whilst they are gazing upon it (simply tailor the pronouns accordingly!).

To charge, simply allow the piece to soak during a thunderstorm, and/or rebathe in the herbal/storm water infusion.

Happy crafting!
