The Nightwalkers

In 2008, an odd bit of video surveillance footage from a security camera made the rounds on the internet, paranormal groups, and eventually made it to Scy-fy’s “Fact or Faked?” show. Filmed on a night in 2008 at a San Diego home, it appears to show two odd creatures that look like walking wishbones, moving across a yard. By using the tree and fence in the frame as a reference they appear to be somewhere around 3 feet tall.

This case stayed as an odd anomaly until another surveillance video showed up in 2011 from Fresno, Ca seemingly showing a similar pair of creatures. In this video one is noticeably larger than the other. By using the trees at the end of the driveway, the estimation of the larger creatures’ size is the same as the San Diego tape.

So what are they? Some say they seem to be a hoax, some kind of puppet or altered video. Others say they are blurry film of birds, that appear alien due to the low quality of the film. There are also some who have viewed the video that say they are people in costumes, pointing out what seems to be a shoe on the foot of the larger creature in the  Yosemite National Park video. Still, many claim they are something unidentifiable.

Whatever they are, both the videos are pretty cool. There does seem to be something more organic/Alive in the way the things move in the second video than the first, to the naked eye.

There’s actually not much online about this case, it seems that these two videos are the only things I can find with these critters whatever they are in them. There’s a claim that there are native American legends that talk about these in CA and that there are wooden statues of them. There ARE photos of the statues, but there’s no confirmation that the statues are in fact from CA, or that there is any native lore around these things.
